Tim Horton Children's Foundation Programs
Tim Horton Children's Foundation camp programs are designed to give children the opportunity to experience many positive personal achievements while at camp. This allows them to grow, develop independence, and return home with new found strengths and the courage to achieve the goals they set for themselves. The Foundation has three core programs that serve over 13,000 children each year.

To qualify for these camp programs children must meet the following criteria:
. The child is from an economically disadvantaged family as specified by Statistics Canada's Low Income Cut-offs and the U.S. Census Bureau's Poverty Thresholds
. The child is of the appropriate age designated for each program
. The child is selected by a Community Agency or school working with the local Tim Hortons store owners, or be invited by the Foundation to apply
. The child must NOT be related to Tim Hortons or community referral agency employees
. The child is able to fully participate in all aspects of the program (physically, emotionally and behaviourally)
. Youth Leadership Program participants must have attended a Tim Horton Children's Foundation residential summer camp, and received a positive referral from their camp counsellors
. Organizations wishing to attend as part of the Community Partnership Program must provide programs for economically disadvantaged children and youth

Residential Camp Program (9-12 yrs)
The Residential Program is a once in a life time opportunity for economically disadvantaged children in our communities. Tim Hortons Store Owners work with local youth serving agencies and schools to find children that meet our selection criteria. These children attend either the Summer Residential Camp Program or the Winter Residential Camp Program.
Summer:
Children who attend the summer program enjoy a 10 day session at camp. The Foundation covers all costs for each child to attend camp which includes transportation, equipment for any programs at camp, food and lodging. Campers are flown to camp which is situated in a region outside of their province or state, giving them an opportunity to learn about different areas of Canada and the United States. While at camp, children try new activities, meet new friends, challenge themselves, and learn that if they try hard they can achieve great things.
Winter:
The winter program takes place during the school March Break, allowing campers to enjoy a week long session at camp. Similar to the summer program, all costs are covered by the Foundation. Unique to the winter program are the winter recreational activities available to the campers. Dog sledding, skating, and snow tubing are just a few of these unique activities campers can look forward to trying while at camp in the winter! As well as trying new activities, campers will meet new friends, achieve their goals, and learn more about themselves and what they are capable of.
"I feel differently about myself after camp. I am not that shy anymore and I'm not afraid to try new things. I learned that if I want to achieve something it's possible if I just try!"

The Youth Leadership Program is the Foundation's long-term commitment to selected campers aged 13 years and older. The program focuses on the development of life-long leadership skills, teamwork and independence.
There are 5 successive 10 day programs in the Youth Leadership Program. The first level is based out of Tim Horton Onondaga Farms and focuses on introductory lessons in canoeing, portaging, and outdoor living skills. Levels 2 to 4 are based out of the Tim Horton Memorial Camp and involve 6 day wilderness canoe trips. Throughout these three levels participants learn leadership skills, goal setting, and decision making skills. The final level takes participants back to Tim Horton Onondaga Farms where they focus on their future, career development and the meaning of success.
YLP participants are tracked throughout the whole program, culminating in bursary opportunities to pursue a post secondary education.
" Camp has given me great memories, good friends, experiences of a lifetime, and also a new perspective of myself from which I hope to continue to grow. Thank you so much! You have given so much more than you'll ever know."
- Talor, YLP camper
