National Sponsorships

While our many regional marketing programs promote sponsorship of local events, charitable causes and minor and major sporting activities, our national programs and sponsorships involve the chain as a whole in various major events and activities.

Tim Hortons Brier

For over 12 years, Tim Hortons has been a proud sponsor of the Canadian Curling Association (CCA). The CCA is recognized as the national administrative body for curling by Sport Canada, the Canadian Olympic Committee and the World Curling Federation.

Curling began to draw recognition as an organized sport back in 1927 when the first Macdonald Brier event was played at the Granite Curling Club in Toronto. Today, Tim Hortons is the proud title sponsor of the Tim Hortons Brier.

The 2011 Tim Hortons Brier will be held in London from March 5-13, 2011.

National Hockey League

Tim Hortons is proud to have sponsorships with 10 National Hockey league teams including the Edmonton Oilers, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Buffalo Sabres, Winnipeg Jets, Detroit Red Wings and Columbus Blue Jackets.

As part of the sponsorships Tim Hortons is happy to provide some of our Timbits Minor Hockey players with a "once in a lifetime" opportunity to play hockey during the intermissions of selected NHL regular and playoff games.

Tim Hortons also teams up with a number of NHL teams to provide a Coaches Clinic for volunteer coaches at all levels of minor hockey across the country.

Community-based programs, such as Hockey in the Neighbourhood for inner-city boys and girls and NHL outdoor practices, are also included in the sponsorships.

Canadian Football League

For over 11 years, Tim Hortons has been honoured to partner with the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a major sponsor. In conjunction with the league sponsorship, Tim Hortons is also sponsoring all eight CFL teams on a regional level for the 2011 football season. In addition, Tim Hortons is excited to sponsor of this year's CFL playoffs and the Grey Cup championship. The 2011 Grey Cup will be held in Vancouver on November 27th, 2011.
