Timbits Minor Sports Program

Timbits Minor Sports Program

The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid.

Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games. Timbits players are also given the opportunity to play in their own "Timbits Jamboree", a fun-filled Tim Hortons sponsored event where everyone receives a prize, food and beverages.

Earn-a-Bike Program

Earn-a-Bike Program

The Tim Hortons Earn-a-Bike program is a community-oriented sponsorship program where children between 10 and 14 years old team up with community partners to help clean up their local streets, parks and schools. Each participant completes 30 hours of community service and is rewarded with their very own Tim Hortons Minelli-Leader mountain bike and Bell helmet, courtesy of their local Tim Hortons store owner. Children are selected from organizations such as Big Brothers and Big Sisters and by their local police department who also co-ordinate the program and provide supervision while the kids are out doing their part to make their community a cleaner, brighter place to live.

Smile Cookie Program

Smile Cookie Program

The Smile Cookie program is a community-oriented sponsorship program that raises funds for local charities across Canada and the United States. These special smiling double-sized chocolate chip cookies are available for a limited time only. This unique program originated in Hamilton, Ontario in 1996 as a way to help raise funds for the Hamilton Children's Hospital. Since then, it has expanded across Canada helping a variety of children's charities, hospitals and community programs.

The Smile Cookie program is a unique way for Tim Hortons store owners to give back to community charities, and they couldn't be happier. It's mouth watering goodness for a good cause.

Yes the Smile Cookies are gone, but the smiles will last forever. Thanks to you, we helped raise over $2,000,000 to help support local charities throughout Canada.

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day

On November 11, the past and the present are one across our land. It's a unity expressed in the poppies we wear to honour the brave Canadians who served their country, both then and now. This Remembrance Day, Tim Hortons encourages you to reflect on all they've given and to wear a poppy.

Together, we can show our veterans we remember them. Then, now, and forever.

Poppies are available at Tim Hortons stores across Canada.
