Residential Camp Program
(9-12 yrs)
The Residential Program is a once in a life time opportunity for economically disadvantaged children in our communities. Tim Hortons Restaurant Owners work with local youth serving agencies and schools to find children that meet our selection criteria. These children attend either the Summer Residential Camp Program or the Winter Residential Camp Program.
Summer:

Children who attend the summer program enjoy a 10 day session at camp. The Foundation covers all costs for each child to attend camp which includes transportation, equipment for any programs at camp, food and lodging. During the summer sessions campers enjoy activities such as the high and low adventures courses, archery, canoeing, and creative arts. Many of these activities campers try for the first time while at camp. Campers also meet new friends, challenge themselves and learn that if they try hard they can achieve great things.
Winter:

The winter program takes place during the school March Break, allowing campers to enjoy a week long session at camp. Similar to the summer program, all costs are covered by the Foundation. Unique to the winter program are the winter recreational activities available to the campers. Dog sledding, skating, and snow tubing are just a few of these unique activities campers can look forward to trying while at camp in the winter! As well as trying new activities, campers will meet new friends, achieve their goals, and learn more about themselves and what they are capable of.
"I feel differently about myself after camp. I am not that shy anymore and I'm not afraid to try new things. I learned that if I want to achieve something it's possible if I just try!"
- Jolene, camper at Camp des Voyageurs Tim Horton
