The CampsLa Fondation Tim Horton Pour Les Enfants

Levels 1 & 5: Tim Horton Onondaga Farms

Levels 1 and 5 of the Youth Leadership Program take place at Tim Horton Onondaga Farms in St. George, Ontario. Located approximately one and a half hours west of Toronto, the Farm is situated on more than four hundred acres of farm and wetlands.

Level 1: Discovering Leadership

During "Discovering Leadership," participants will receive introductory lessons in geocaching, cooking, outdoor living, environmental education, resume writing and job interview preparation. These skills will be developed at camp through the use of the Outdoor Adventure Program and spending a day off-site with fellow campers taking part in Service Projects. This type of program allows participants to set and achieve goals within a trusting group environment. Upon completion of "Discovering Leadership," participants will take home new skills in goal setting, team building and outdoor living.

Level 5: Planning for Success

The focus of "Planning for Success" is "getting out into the real world." Back at Tim Horton Onondaga Farms, participants will take part in workshops focused on their future and career development, as well as food and maintenance skill sessions. Throughout their time at camp, participants will further develop life skills in the areas of time management, refining career and job search skills, budgeting, public speaking and the meaning of success. Participants will spend part of their time off camp property in the communities surrounding Onondaga Farms learning about future opportunities available to them.
