Tim Hortons restaurant owners ask local community organizations who work with economically disadvantaged children, between the ages of 9 and 12, to refer children who meet the criteria. All children who attend our camps are specially selected and referred by these local organizations. Unlike most camps, parents don't apply directly to send their children to a Tim Horton Children's Foundation camp. If you are a parent wanting your child to be involved, the first step would be to contact your child's school or a local agency he/she is involved with to see if a Tim Hortons restaurant owner has asked the school or agency to select children in your community to attend a Tim Horton Children's Foundation camp. If they have not been asked and someone involved in your child's school or agency would be willing to recommend them for the program please ask that person to contact the Foundation's Home Office. Their contact information will be added to a list of people interested in referring children. If there are spaces that become available in your community we contact your school or agency representative to complete an application for camp.

Yes, certain groups may be eligible to attend one of our camps at no charge. Community groups or schools that work with economically disadvantaged children and youth may apply for full sponsorship to attend one of our camps through our Year Round Group Program. To obtain an application package for this program, please contact the specific camp.

The Foundation fully arranges and covers the costs (including transportation) for all campers and participants.

All of our camps are accessible and many of our programs can accommodate children with special needs or disabilities. Please contact the camp directly for specific details.

The Children's Foundation is fortunate to receive the financial support of many organizations and individuals who host local fundraising events to benefit the Foundation. Groups or individuals wanting to support the Foundation are asked to fill out our 3rd Party Fundraising Event Proposal Form (PDF). The proposal must be submitted for approval by fax, mail or email prior to the event. Learn more about how you can be involved in hosting a Fundraiser within your community. The Tim Horton Children's Foundation is a charitable organization that receives generous donations from Tim Hortons restaurant owners, suppliers, Tim Hortons Inc., and the community. All the funds raised are used to operate our six camps and to provide over 14,000 children every year with a top-quality camp experience. Therefore the Tim Horton Children's Foundation does not distribute funds to other charitable organizations.
