Carolee House Bursary Program

The Carolee House Bursary Program provides Youth Leadership Program graduates with continued support to help them achieve their post secondary goals. Individuals may apply for a bursary each year after graduating from the Youth Leadership Program and the bursary is renewable annually provided the applicant still qualifies. In order to qualify, the bursary applicant must be enrolled in a part-time or full-time program at an accredited university, college or trade certificate program. Since its inception in 2002, over $2,000,000 in bursaries have been awarded.

Bursary Recipients Testimonials:

STEVEN: SURREY, BRITISH COLUMBIA

Steven

Graduated in 2010 from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia with his Bachelor of Commerce.

"If it wasn't for the bursary, I never would have gone to such a reputable school because of the high tuition costs. The bursary helped me focus on my studies and less on how I was going to afford my schooling. None of this would have happened if it were not for the Tim Horton Children's Foundation and restaurant owners who sent me to camp. All a child needs is a chance to grow."

LEAH: LONDON, ONTARIO

Leah

Starting 2nd year at the University of Western Ontario majoring in English with a minor in Creative Writing.

"The Bursary has helped me with my school finances in so many different ways. It has given me the determination, willpower and self-motivation to pursue a degree in English and potentially a Masters. It has given me a state of financial security that I was never able to experience before, and that kind of feeling is simply amazing."

MATTHIEU: MONTREAL, QUÉBEC

Matthieu

Enrolled at the University of Québec at Montreal studying Actuarial Science.

"The Carolee House Bursary helped me achieve the goals I had set for myself. It allowed me to continue with my schooling without worrying about my finances. I was able to focus all my energy on the goals that are important to me. I'm proud of where I am and it is with great sincerity that I thank you for believing in me and giving me a chance."
